Leather

- Dirt, dust, and oils from skin contact can accumulate on your leather upholstery over time. To prevent these from damaging the leather, clean your upholstery regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
 

- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools as they can damage the material.
 

- Direct sunlight can cause upholstery to fade and deteriorate over time. It's important to keep your furniture away from direct sunlight or use window treatments to block out the sun. 
 

- Leather is not waterproof. Do not expose to water or other liquids. If your leather upholstery gets wet, blot the area with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry. Do not use heat or a hairdryer to speed up the drying process as this can damage the leather.
- 

If your leather upholstery becomes stained, clean it promptly to prevent the stain from setting. Use a leather cleaner or mild soap and water to remove the stain. You may wish to condition the leather to restore its natural shine. If so, follow the manufacturers instructions for application.
 

- Leather is a natural material and may include some minor natural blemishes and scars which enhance the genuine character of the material. These are not considered to be defects and are not covered under warranty.
 

- Avoid over exposure to sunlight and excessive heat to prevent over-drying and cracking.
 

- Keep your upholstery away from heat sources and hot objects, pets and sharp or abrasive objects.
 

- To prevent possible bleeding of ink, do not leave newspapers or other printed material lying on the upholstery.
 

- Do not sit directly on scatter cushions or arms of your sofa, sofa chair or similar. Sitting on the armrest will deform the foam on the component and by doing so will void the warranty.

- Speak with your Designer to ensure the products selected are suitable for your specific environment as well as discuss the level of maintenance that will be needed.
 

- Leather products may include some minor natural blemishes and scars which enhance the genuine character of the leather as a natural product.
 

- Over time, leather upholstery will age and develop a unique patina, which is a natural characteristic of the material. This patina is a result of exposure to sunlight, oils from skin contact, and general wear and tear. While some may view these aging marks as imperfections, they add to the charm and character of the leather.
 

- It's a good idea to have your upholstery professionally cleaned every few years. Professional cleaners have the tools and expertise to deep clean your furniture without damaging the leather. Professional cleaning every 12 months is recommended. If your furniture is used every day, we recommend professional cleaning every 6 months.
 

- Use floor protectors on the bottom of furniture to minimise damage to floor coverings.
 

- Always carefully lift furniture with 2 or more people when moving items around the home – never drag furniture along the floor.
